I read this number and it ceases to amaze me. Who would have thought that the Celtics would have gelled this well. I think this has ALOT to do with that preseason trip they had to Rome. It put them into tight quarters and made them bond much faster. This is similar to how you see companies big and small do company offsites. You mix a cool locale into it and then some fun events and I'm sure some beers as well and all of a sudden you have a better appreciation for people.
I think in the future that any teams that make some big ticket acquisitions during the offseason should take a similar tactic. The cost is pretty much nothing compared to what they already are paying guys and the dividend could be huge.

Thats a very good point... I always seem to forget that sports are like any other business and that you need to do things to make people feel comfortable with each other. I guess it just seems so abstract, but when you think about it most of these players are just guys in their 20's. Keeping them happy goes a long way. I guess Mark Cuban set a good trend there with pampering his players.
